ADHD Support Center
ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), commonly known as “Hyperactivity Disorder,” is a condition that involves attention deficits, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. According to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in 2022, 11.4% of children and adolescents aged 3-17 were diagnosed with ADHD. Around 75% of individuals diagnosed with ADHD in childhood continue to experience core symptoms into adulthood.
ADHD is not just an issue of attention deficits, hyperactivity, or impulsivity. Among those diagnosed with ADHD, 80% have at least one co-occurring condition, and 50% have two or more, such as learning disabilities, sleep disorders, anxiety, depression, sensory processing disorder, autism, tics, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and bipolar disorder.
